A seasoned outdoorsman, he’s spent countless days chasing elk through the timber, tracking mule deer across open country, and casting flies into Montana’s cold, clear rivers. When he’s not deep in the backcountry or waist-deep in a trout stream, you’ll find him smashing into people on the rugby pitch or taking long walks on the beach — ideally the kind that ends at a grill with a steak and a cold beer.

Darren has spent a lifetime in the outdoors doing what he loves — from fly fishing and hiking to chasing big game across the backcountry. An avid hunter, he’s pursued upland birds, turkey, antelope, deer, and elk, and finds just as much joy in the quiet stillness of ice fishing as he does in the thrill of the hunt. Whether exploring remote trails by foot or side-by-side, Darren thrives in wild places — but it’s his passion for teaching others that truly sets him apart. Sharing knowledge, mentoring newcomers, and helping others connect to the land is what fuels his time in the field.
